Starlight Giving Tree
Welcome to the Starlight Giving Tree, Starlight’s new, innovative and exciting campaign where you get to watch in real time as your donation, big or small, helps the tree grow as far and wide as possible.
Starlight Children’s Foundation® Canada has been brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families by bringing them joy, laughter and relief, for close to 30 years. We focus on the family as a whole, at a time when they feel most isolated, offering programs and events that can provide an escape from the stress of dealing with a serious illness every day.
What makes Starlight unique is that we are there for the entire journey — from hospital to home.
While in-hospital, Starlight provides distraction, entertainment and relief from the stress and boredom of hospitalization. When out-of-hospital, Starlight children benefit from our Day Brightener, Great EscapesTM and Wishes programs — giving them an opportunity to leave the ‘sick’ behind, create special family memories and return home with a renewed sense of strength and hope.
The Starlight Giving Tree is a campaign that is more than just about donating money, it does not matter how much you donate. What matters is keeping the tree growing, and together we could make this tree bigger than anything we would have ever imagined.
The growth of the tree is in your hands. To keep it growing there are three simple things you have to do:
- Donate, whether it be large or small, the amount is not important, what is important is to keep the tree growing
- Nominate, whether it is family, a friend or colleagues, nominate as many people as possible to make their own donation and keep the tree growing
- Watch, your tree grow in real time.
The Giving Tree is not about who donates the most money, the purpose is to get the Starlight branches out to as many people as possible and to create the largest Starlight Giving Tree we can.
So donate, nominate and watch the Starlight Giving Tree grow!
